Tim is the perfect celebrant. Not only is he caring, thoughtful, a beautifully calming presence that is fun and incredibly well organised, if you have him as your celebrant your ceremony will be fun and light hearted enough to give your special moment enough ease and air to breathe, whilst also having the perfect amount of professionalism and flair to help make it as special as it should be. Tim thinks about every minute detail, is excited to help you make your very personalised and unique ceremony your own, and he executes it all brilliantly.
He helped us write our vows and also produced a beautifully crafted story of our relationship to tell our friends and family. He put so much effort into it and it was way beyond what we expected.
He is also a fantastic dance instructor for your first dance. With only a month’s notice - and as such, plenty of moments where we weren’t sure we’d be able to do it - Tim helped us have the exact kind of first dance we wanted that looked and felt fantastic. The dance lessons also gave us an even better time to get to know him and we have loved every minute. He is a truly special guy!
And on top of that he was also our MC for the wedding night, he was just perfectly excellent in every way, even helping us run through our first dance one last time away from everyone, and he made our wedding everything that we wanted it to be.
There are so many other things that he did that we can’t list them all here. He’s just that good.
Every guest we speak with reserves a special mention for Tim and we have had many enquiries from friends for his details for their weddings. Book him while you can!

Tim is incredible, he acted as both our Celebrant and MC. We had a private elopement style ceremony into a full reception. He made our lives so easy, he guided us every step of the way and put us at ease, Tim is honestly born to do this. Tim went above and beyond and we are sooo eternally grateful to him. We received so many compliments on the night and beyond, and we owe it to Tim for making it happen as perfectly and smoothly as it did. I honestly couldn't recommend Tim Barnes any more highly!

Tim was the celebrant for my wedding and did an incredible job.
It was the small attention to detail items that impressed me the most like checking over our vows, printing them off on hard card, and making sure both my partner and I were relaxed.

We had the perfect wedding day, and I can say with confidence, that it was largely due to how amazing Tim Barnes was as our celebrant and MC.
On a day that can often be quite stressful, Tim kept everything calm and under control. The whole ceremony was perfect, start to finish. Tim tailored the ceremony to fit our personalities and was even able to incorporate traditional elements such as the handfasting ceremony. So many of our guests have since told us how much they also enjoyed Tim's work and agreed that he set the perfect tone for the whole event.
In the lead up to the wedding, Tim really took the time to get to know us and put us completely at ease. We had such a fantastic time, whether it was catching up for brunch, or having zoom calls, he was always reaching out and supporting us. He made a genuine effort to get to know us and it really felt like we had a close friend performing our ceremony when the day came.

Tim was our celebrant for our wedding at the Botanic Gardens in February 2023 and did a superb job. He arranged meetings with us multiple times leading up to our ceremony to get to know us and to guide us through the whole wedding ceremony process and paperwork required. He is really well organised and professional. He assisted myself and my wife with writing our vows. He delivered a really nice speech about us: well balanced between heartfelt and humour. Tim is an excellent public speaker; really confident in front of an audience and just provided a really smooth ceremony. Our guests all thought he was great. Highly recommend!

Honestly I can not recommend Tim enough!!
From our inital Zoom meeting due to being in lockdown, we knew straight away he was the one to marry us. His attention to detail, creativity and to his all round awesome personality you won't regret your choice! We initially met with Tim to be our celebrant, but after the warm and comforting feeling we got from him, we also asked him to be our MC for the night and all of our guests raved how much of a great bloke he is!
Tim, Brodi and I can't thank you enough for making our day so special, and being there for us through every step before, during and still there afterwards.

Choosing Tim as our celebrant and MC was one of the best decisions we made throughout the whole wedding planning process.
From the start, he was kind, genuine and organised – everything you want from a celebrant. He guided us through the process with such professionalism and warmth. At every moment, Tim was willing to go the extra yard, from suggesting father of the bride present ideas when we had given up to organising a bubble canon!
At the wedding Tim, spoke beautifully about marriage and us. My father-in-law remarked in his speech that Tim’s knowledge of us as a couple may have even outdone his own! He really takes the time to understand you both, your sense of humour, your family’s background, everything. So when the day came, he became part of the group so easily. Everyone felt like they knew him. I don’t think I’ve spoken to a guest about our wedding without them mentioning what a wonderful job Tim did.
I can’t recommend Tim highly enough.

Bottom line: To enjoy your wedding bliss just that little bit more, book Tim.
Tim is so much more than a celebrant. Let me rephrase, so much more than what I THOUGHT a celebrant was. After meeting Tim through our friends wedding who had booked Tim for their special day, my husband who was in the bridal party had the opportunity to meet Tim. At their wedding he left such a lasting impression being their celebrant and MC, we knew that if one of the great memories from a beautiful wedding was a great celebrant and MC we knew we’d not look much further.
The way that you believe that Tim really does love love comforts you in being vulnerable about opening up to an almost stranger and feeling comfortable in expressing how much you love your significant other. The outcome was a tremendous summary of mine and my now husbands life and love together at our ceremony (all prepared by Tim).
He feels more like a friend than a supplier, to which we believe to be true.
Not only is he extremely organised, you won’t see him without a smile, his experience allowed us to trust the process which he also outlined very well.
Always going the extra mile in every element of the day, printing our vows for us, zooming whenever we needed it particularly when helping each of us individually when finalising our vows, meeting with us in person as well, he also does great calligraphy, always listened to our wishes and incorporated all aspects into our day, as well as providing a zoom and the subsequent recording for us for our guests who were remote on the day.
All of our guests were very complimentary of Tim.
Our day just would not have been the same without him as our celebrant and MC and we are so grateful. We wish Tim and his partner all the very best!
